Purpose:

The Associate will be an integral member of our Supply Chain team and have solid knowledge of all aspects of Inbound Logistics within the Pharmaceutical/biotech/consumer goods industries and provide expertise in inbound international transportation of pharmaceutical products. The incumbent will have full ownership of the day-to-day Inbound Logistics and claims operations including shipment tracking and delivery to our 3PL and CPOs locations, shipment scheduling from our domestic and international FTO/CMOs sites and shipment exceptions investigations.

Based in Princeton, NJ (Hybrid) this role will report to Manager Inbound Logistics & Claims

Responsibilities:

• Support Rx, SRx, & OTC teams with timely delivery of all inbound shipments to our respective 3PL locations. This position will be responsible for all inbound shipments tracking activities including shipments from FTO, CMO and CPO sites
• Log and track all Inbound Claims against carriers upon receipt of material into 3PL locations; including gathering and filling all relevant and supporting documentation. Establish a workflow with the India logistics team to ensure all Inbound Claims are researched, prioritized, and resolved in a timely manner to ensure product is received by 3PL and placed into finished goods for sales revenue recognition
• Track and report Inbound Logistics metrics, shipment tracking and cadence of delivery schedules on monthly and weekly basis to 3PL partners, SCM, customer service, and sales & marketing teams
• Liaise with internal and external Inbound Logistics operating network for generation, receipt, and consolidation of all required inbound documentation for release of product at 3PLs to finished goods Audit documentation for accuracy
• Measure US service providers for continuous performance and improvement with respect to India Team, CMO, CPOs and internal SOPs
• Track Customs and FDA shipment releases and share them with relevant stakeholders in a timely manner
• Perform extraction and analysis of shipment data from multiple external agencies, operating systems and/or logistics providers. Data analysis is essential to visibility of all inbound materials
• Manage service providers’ expectations during month/quarter end and backorders.
• Work closely with Supply Planning team to plan inventory receipts from international and domestic partners to our 3PL warehouses. Advocate for SCM Logistics business by proactively analyzing and identifying issues and solutions for existing logistics processes specific to U.S. Operations.
• Act as Inbound logistics SME in cross-functional teams within the scope of responsibilities and provide backup for the Inbound Logistics Lead Associate during their absence to enable the department’s functionality.

Qualifications / Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Supply Chain Management or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in a logistics role, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry. At least 2 years of International logistics required
• Knowledge of IATA/IMDG/DOT regulations is a must. HAZMAT shipping accreditation is a plus
• Understanding of Logistics and Shipping Operations, Customs/FDA clearance work and familiar with GMP/GDP/GWP/cGMP/FDA/USCBP/Controlled Substances regulations
• SAP experience & SAP ERP skills preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite is a MUST, with Advanced skills in Excel
• Excellent collaboration, communication and problem solving skills.
• Less than 5% domestic travel
