What You'll Do:
As an Associate Medical Application Specialist, you'll get the opportunity to communicate via telephone or online with internal and external customers to schedule and complete personal history interviews or troubleshoot/problem solve for clients applying for Individual Life and/or Individual Disability Income insurance. You'll get the opportunity to represent the company in a positive and professional manner, contributing to the growth and retention of new business relationships.
- Connect with customers via telephone or online to capture and accurately detail personal information including general activities, health history, and financials to complete an insurance application according to assigned objectives and state regulatory requirements.
- Communicate via the telephone or online with field and home office employees to schedule appointments to complete insurance applications and provide timely status updates.
- Provide troubleshooting services during the application and e-sign process.
- Represent the company in a positive and professional manner by providing a high level of customer service to encourage long-term relationships to facilitate retention of business.
- Perform other job-related duties and special projects as the need arises.
- Provide feedback to improve the efficiency of the TeleApp system and our workflow processes.
Who You Are:
- High School diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of related experience required.
- Strong interpersonal communication, customer service, and telephone skills are required to optimally capture sensitive information from clients.
- Be self-motivated, able to work in a team environment, able to multi-task, detail oriented, and able to maintain strict confidentiality guidelines.
- Ability to troubleshoot, problem solve, and adapt to changing situations.
- Abe to type 40 wpm, efficiently navigate between numerous online applications, and accurately document data.
- Ability to acquire solid understanding of business unit products, processes, and systems.
- Have a general understanding of medical terminology.
- Be able to wear a telephone headset and sit for extended periods.
- May be required to work non-traditional hours to meet customer needs.
Salary Range Information: Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range: $15.12 - $28.27 / hour Additional Information:
This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements.
Hours of operation are Mon-Fri 9:30-6:05pm CST.
