Wedding Coordinator Assistant:
MUSTS:
- Available on weekends- mostly Saturdays, but some Fridays & Sundays
- must confirm availability 30 days before date of event.
- responsible and committed- this is the type of job you CANNOT CALL OUT!
- must have prior event experience, hospitality background or going to school for hospitality
- must have customer service experienced- we are servicing our couples and their guests
- know how to get around Brooklyn, LIC and NYC where most of our events take place.
- be on time and have time management skills
- able to be on feet for 6-8 hours
- able to take direction well from lead planner/coordinator
- able to read a timeline
- able to read instruction packet including floor plans
- friendly & outgoing- we are very vocal and give direction to vendors & guests
- not afraid to initiate conversation
- know how to follow seating plans- we do a lot of assigned seating and must be able to do
- know how to place escort cards in alphabetical order
- works well with others
- able to keep a cool head under pressure
- Spanish speakers/bilingual a plus!
Assist with:
- attendance of bride & groom
- set up wedding ceremony, cocktail & reception.
- sending bride & bridal party down the aisle
- lining up bridal party for ceremony & introduction to reception
- giving cues to vendors: band, dj, mc, speech givers
- Help oversee deliveries (cake, liquor, etc) and vendors
- Assist with set up of ceremony, cocktail and reception (no heavy lifting)
- attending to bride & bridal party
- helping guests find their seats
- helping usher guests from one area to another
- contact vendors on the day
- help run event- we are event managers

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Weekends as needed
Education:
- Associate (Required)
Experience:
- Events management: 1 year (Preferred)
- Customer service: 2 years (Required)
