Job Description
This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts between the hours of 6:30am-5:30pm. The pay is $12-14 per hour with merit increases depending on experience and qualifications. This role is onsite at our center located: 1118 W Oak Ridge Rd, Orlando, FL 32809.
The Assistant Teacher works with the Lead Teacher to coordinate engaging developmental activities, implements curriculum that prepares children for school, and enhances their pre-reading, pre-math, language, and social skills. The Assistant Teacher serves as a model and mentor. In this role you’ll have the opportunity to build a dynamic classroom environment, create fun-filled learning activities, and support the growth and success of children.

What You Will Do:
- Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
- Lead by example and encourage success through modeling and coaching
- Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to engage children and encourage social, cognitive, and emotional growth
- Follow all facility policies and state regulations
- Maintain a personal and professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement
What We Need from You:
- High school diploma / GED, or degree in related field of study required
- 45 DCF hours required
- Minimum of 1 year of professional early childhood education or experience
- Must clear a full background check
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and basic computer skills
- Strong understanding of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where students are engaged and encouraged to succeed
- Effective in communicating with both students and adults to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide teacher assistants, and resolve parental concerns
