Form of workPRIMARY FUNCTIONS: Under the supervision and direction of the Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services provides overall leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of District educational programs including specific student services and programming, development of course curriculum and master schedules, testing, and providing ongoing professional development and training. The Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services is also responsible for monitoring budgets, meeting District legal compliance with state and federal services funding and preparing accompanying reports, program grant awards, and accountability measures. The Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services coordinates and provides oversight for Special Education, Summer School, After School Programs, and various contracted educational support services. In addition to serving as a member of the Executive Cabinet, the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services also serves as the Superintendent and Board's representative at community and professional events and is responsible for oversight of all regulations regarding non-discriminatory practices and the safe and efficient management of school campuses in the District.
