POSITION SUMMARY:
As an Assistant Counselor you would be responsible for assisting the Lead Counselor, under the direction of the Director of Child Care, with creating a positive atmosphere, engaging activities that are developmentally appropriate, and nurturing each child to their full potential. You would also assist the Childcare Supervisor with daily tasks to ensure safety and cleanliness.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Available May 18-Aug 5 during the weekdays.
Minimum Age: 18 years old
Passion for working with school aged children ages 5 -12
Hours Monday – Friday (AM Shift 7:15am – 12:00pm) (PM Shift 12:00pm – 5:15pm)
Provide TB test results every two years, provide a high school diploma, participate in fingerprinting through DCBS and background check processes, participate in childcare training. Complete annual evaluation and provide an annual professional development plan.

9. Able to be a role model for children in our programs
10. Communicate supply needs to operate programs
11. Attends all staff meetings and trainings as assigned
WORK ENVIORMENT:
Climbing, sitting, standing, pushing, walking, kneeling, and stooping

Ability to communicate verbally, including projecting your voice across a distance in normal and loud situations.
