ASSISTANT STUDY COORDINATOR
Institute for Autism Research
The Institute for Autism Research (IAR) is seeking a full-time Assistant Study Coordinator to assist with several treatment trials being conducted with children with autism. This is a temporary position, with an estimated duration of 12-24 months.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct and/or assist with participant recruitment, eligibility determination screenings, the consent process, record reviews, and communications with parents and outside clinicians
- Oversee research staff and research assistants, and coordinate schedules and upcoming activities
- Assist with training of research staff and research assistants
- Complete training (and establish reliability) in behavioral observations/coding of the children's behaviors and scoring of test protocols
- Assist with outcome assessments (as needed)
- Assist with oversight of intervention implementation (as needed)
- Organize and maintain study materials
- Coordinate and oversee data processing, entry, and management, and conduct accuracy checks
- Monitor files and maintain project records
- Assist with study-related purchases and budget
- Support all research activities
- Provide updated information to senior research team
- Assist with report preparation (as needed)
- Perform other related duties as assigned or as directed; the omission of specific duties does not preclude the assignment of duties that are logically related to the position
Qualifications:
- Graduate or undergraduate degree in psychology, counseling, education, or related discipline is preferred (undergraduate students currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program and expecting to graduate in May will be considered)
- Relevant training and/or experience in autism, research, assessment and/or treatment is preferred
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively within a team and independently
- Ability to manage multiple activities
- Computer proficiency and the ability to learn additional programs
- Professional demeanor and ability to work effectively with various constituencies (e.g., children, parents, school staff, college student research assistants, etc.)

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary: $35,000-$40,000 annually
Please note that the compensation information is a good faith estimate of the base pay for this position. The selected candidate's actual base pay will be based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including experience. Information about the total compensation package for this position will be provided during the interview process.
This is a full-time, hourly position. Benefits are available the first of the month after the full-time employee's date of hire and include - health, dental and vision insurance, life and long-term disability insurance, and retirement plan enrollment is available to full-time employees with contribution from the University after one year. Paid holidays, vacation, personal leave and sick leave. Tuition benefits are also available for full-time employees and their qualified dependents.
