About This Position:The Office of the State's Attorney for A Government Entity is looking to hire an Assistant State's Attorney to prosecute criminal cases. In addition to prosecuting cases, the ideal candidate should be experienced in advising and supporting police agencies, managing and supervising special programs, for example: Maryland Criminal Intelligence Network, Child Advocacy, Opioid Task Force and Drug Task Force Operations.
The Office of the State's Attorney for A Government Entity is located in Salisbury, Maryland, and employs approximately eighteen prosecutors. Employment includes a comprehensive benefits package from A Government Entity. Compensation is based on experience.
Qualifications:
State of Maryland License to practice Law Required Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school. Demonstrated experience in all areas of prosecution or demonstrated expert experience in a specialist area. Some supervisory experience is desired. Prior experience as an Assistant State's Attorney is preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of Maryland laws and related Federal statutes. Background check and drug testing required.
