Position
Summary:

The Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College is seeking a self-starting and mission oriented Assistant Registrar to join their team! The Assistant Registrar is responsible for the operational management and compliance of Crummer student records, and course scheduling. This position reports to the Director of Student Success.

Position Responsibilities:

  • General Registration and Advising
    • Program setup: term dates, individual parts of the term, fee assessment, refund policy details, online registration dates, and various criteria necessary to meet program specific and accreditation requirements.
    • Manage the scheduling of online registration for electives, drop/add periods, withdrawal deadlines, and any other information needed for the registration procedures and refund policies.
    • Academic advisor for students.
    • Serve on the Curriculum Committee. Assists the Chair of the Curriculum Committee to maintain the Canvas course. Curriculum, and Related Documents (including collection of course syllabi).
    • Lead elective information sessions and program overviews for student onboarding.
    • Works with the Associate Dean to update program documents on the website, including course catalog, tuition information, program overviews, and registration information. 
  • Billing
    • Works with Student Account Services to ensure up-to-date information and procedures related to refund policies and statements of financial responsibility.
    • Monitor and address bursar holds and other student financial issues.
  • Student Records Management
    • Manage and maintain student records. This includes records administration, registration, withdrawals, and any other support activities.
    • Ensure that security and compliance measures are followed as they pertain to the school, Rollins College, federal and academic policies.
  • Grade Processing
    • Manage and facilitate the grading process: end-of-term updates, incompletes, failed, dismissals, and probation statuses, and prepare academic reports.
  • Graduation Preparation
    • Manage graduation procedures: processing intent-to-graduate forms and end-of-term audits to ensure completion of requirements and concentrations.
    • Compile graduation lists for approval by the faculty and Board of Trustees.
    • Ensure final collection efforts to reconcile accounts occur before final diplomas and transcripts are released to graduates.
  • Statistical Reporting
    • Provide reports that pertain to enrollment, demographics, and graduation.
    • Provide customized data reports for various ranking reports.

Minimum Qualifications
& Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • A minimum of three years experience in a registrar's office. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in higher education.
  • Experience with higher education technologies: Banner, Canvas, and DegreeWorks.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • A self-starter with the ability to lead detail-oriented tasks and multi-task under minimal supervision, individually and with a team.
  • Excellent analytical skills and numerical skills with the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable solutions and processes.
  • Familiarity with federal, college, and clearinghouse compliance regulations.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, to maintain and update electronic files, reports, and correspondence.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills, as well as ability to manage confidential student information.
  • Knowledge and proficiency with personal computers, database management, and Microsoft Office suite, with above-average Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
    Ability to produce spreadsheets and interactive dashboards to track revenue streams and interpret cash flow.
  • Possesses good judgment and tact in resolving work problems and dealing with the public, students, and staff.
  • Monitor student feedback for office and/or procedural improvements.

Work Environment:

  • Campus-based, front-facing customer service position, and working in an office environment.
  • Regular use of a computer and databases.
  • Travel and participate in organizations, seminars, conferences, committees, and events outside of Rollins.
  • Flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends are required on an "as needed" basis.
