SalaryThe Center for Urban Community Services, a national leader in the development of effective housing and service initiatives for homeless people, invites applications for an Assistant Program Director position at the Kelly Safe Haven.
Kelly Safe Haven is a 60- bed residence for chronically street homeless individuals who are living with mental illness and/or substance abuse. This 24/7 program offers assistance in obtaining and maintaining permanent housing. The Housing First/Harm Reduction Model is used to engage people who otherwise may not accept services. A multidisciplinary staff works collaboratively with the residents on their recovery and housing goals.
Responsibilities:
This position is part of the program's On-Call rotation.
- LMSW required
- Minimum of 4 years post Master’s applicable experience with related populations including supervisory, administrative, and management experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literacy
- Experience working with the NYC Department of Homeless Services and knowledge of DHS regulations is strongly preferred.
- Ability to assist in the oversight of a program that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
