- Teach or oversee: Printmaking I, II, III
- Teach or oversee: Intro to 2D Design; Intro to Media & Color; Intro to Art (and/or other foundation courses, as needed)
- Develop new courses to support growing studio art track
- Teach other courses in department, as needed
- Work with the department chair to identify and hire adjuncts, as needed
- Assess and revise curriculum within the studio art track
- Contribute to departmental and university initiatives, advise students and recruit students to the Visual Arts program
- 2 or more years of university level teaching, 5 or more years preferred
- Proven agenda of creative research and professional engagement
- Experience working with foundational art classes or general education courses
- Experience of assessment of curriculum and student learning outcomes
- Demonstrated competency in 2D Design and traditional media
- Communication skills consistent with effective teaching, mentoring and motivating Visual Arts majors from a broad range of cultural, ethnic, and economic backgrounds
- PREFERRED: Experience in course development
- PREFERRED: Experience with art kits or ordering supplies
- PREFERRED: Experience integrating traditional 2D media into interdisciplinary or experimental formats
