The Department of English at Colorado State University invites applications for an entry-level, tenure track Assistant Professor of English specializingin Creative Nonfiction Writing. We are seeking a writer with energy, vision, and a commitment to building excellence in our growing program in Creative Nonfiction. The successful candidate will be appointed untenured and at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning August 16, 2024

- MFA or PhD in English or related field at time of appointment.
- Experience teaching at the college level.
- A promising record of creative activity, scholarship, and contributions to the writing community.
- At least one book of literary nonfiction (such as memoir, personal essay, lyric essay, narrative nonfiction) published by, or under contract with, a national press.
Preferred Job Qualifications
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: Latinx, African American, Native American, Asian American, and LGBTQ, Environmental, and/or hybrid literature and writing.
- Interest in, and the ability to teach, a range of approaches to literary nonfiction.
- Applicants are encouraged to describe any additional teaching or scholarly interests and experiences.
