Job Description
- Assistant to the Principal is an integral part of the administrative staff, along with the principal, school counselor, teachers, media specialist and other support staff.
- Achieving academic excellence requires that our High School Assistant Principal/Athletic Director communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and the community at large.
- Usually assigned to support the day-to-day execution of tasks needed to keep school running smoothly, the Assistant to the Principal also supports academic programs, participates in the hiring, training, and evaluation (if appropriately licensed) of faculty and staff, develops and leads professional development (including the support of technologies to support teaching and learning), and attends to executive responsibilities such as assessment administration, data analysis, problem solving, and timely communication.
- The position of Athletic Director includes leadership growth coupled with the implementation of athletic programming k-12, athletic scheduling 7-12, ability to work in scheduling software, management of student-athlete forms, consistent communication with athletic directors and administrators from other schools, ongoing participation in professional development, and communication with the IHSAA.
