Assistant Prevention Technician

Primary areas of responsibility are assistance in combination of fire prevention, public fire education, hazard mitigation, data collection, fire suppression, and prescribed fire program activities. Other duties assigned may include assisting in work with the various Divisions of Fire Programs and other Tribal Departments on specific planning, hazard/risk assessment, public information, education, or involvement tasks. This technical position is a furlough able position.

Must possess a Valid Oregon Drivers License, High school diploma (or equivalent), 2 years experience in wild land fire suppression, Firefighter Type 2 (FFT2), must be able to pass an arduous fitness test and background check.
