Tiny Tykes Child Care center is seeking qualified early childhood educators for multiple positions. We are a local family owned and operated, high-quality child care program that is expanding and seeking new teachers to join our team. We are currently accepting applications for lead and assistant teacher for our infant, toddler, and preschool rooms. We are a licensed childcare center that offers both amenities as well as the feel of a home daycare. We aim to not only meet the needs of your child, but also provide an exciting activity-based learning environment. We offer a developmentally appropriate environment for children from 6 weeks to 7 years of age. Tiny Tykes focus is to provide a stimulating early care and education experience that will promote each child’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. We use a combination of curriculums, theories, and lessons, including a cooperative peer learning style that allows children to learn from one another. Our goal is to support your children, their imaginations, and eagerness to learn, and to inspire them to explore and discover that learning is all around us every day. QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS:
· Must meet basic requirements of local childcare regulatory agency.
· Preferable to have knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
· Coach-able and confident with a pleasant/friendly demeanor.
· Professional, dependable, a high level of integrity and the ability to work well with others.
· Multi-tasking abilities, strong organizational and time-management skills to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Must be able to lift 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
· For Infant and Young Toddler teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib.
· A love for children and a strong desire to make a difference every day.
· Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
· Ability to build relationships with families and coworkers and create a dynamic environment where play and learning happens.
· Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds.
· Ability to plan, organize and implement age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities.
· Ability to speak, read and write English.
· Ability to pass the state required background check.
EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION:
· At least 18 years of age
· Holds a high school diploma or equivalent.
· 1-year minimum experience in early learning center
· Knowledge and understanding of all current State and Local regulations.
