We are seeking a highly organized and skilled professional to fill the role of Assistant Port Engineer. This position combines responsibilities related to assisting with Port Engineering activities and warehouse operations. As the Assistant Port Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth operations, maintaining equipment, and managing inventory.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESULTS
Port Engineering:
Assist the Port Engineer in overseeing the maintenance and repair of vessels, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to schedule and prioritize repairs, inspections, and maintenance tasks.
Participate in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs for vessels, machinery, and equipment.
Assist in managing the budget for vessel maintenance, repairs, and spare parts procurement.
Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and potential areas for improvement.
Assist in investigating and resolving technical issues and breakdowns, providing timely solutions to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with the Port Engineer to ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of maintenance activities and repairs.
Warehouse Assistance:
Warehouse operations, including inventory management, shipping, receiving, and storage.
Implement efficient warehouse processes and procedures to maximize productivity and minimize errors.
Assist in managing inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and coordinate with procurement to ensure optimal stock levels.
Assure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in all warehouse activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline logistics, improve order fulfillment, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Utilize warehouse management systems and software to track inventory, generate reports, and optimize operations.
Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and transportation providers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)
To excel in this role, you must meet the following requirements:
Bachelor of Science in: Marine Engineering or Naval / Marine Architecture or Mechanical Engineering
Knowledge of Port Engineering, vessel maintenance, and warehouse management.
Knowledge of marine industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Proficiency in inventory management systems and warehouse management software.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
