Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urine tests and blood draws
- Prepare patients for X-rays and other diagnostic procedures
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
- Provide patient service, including answering phone calls and addressing patient inquiries
- Assist with coding and billing processes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and equipment
Spanish language a plus , but not mandatory
Skills:
- Knowledge of medical administrative procedures and electronic health records systems
- Strong interpersonal skills to provide excellent patient service
- Ability to accurately take and record vital signs
- Understanding of medical coding principles and ability to assist with coding processes
- Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Competence in medication administration following established protocols
- Familiarity with hospital policies and procedures
- Basic life support certification
