The Assistant Operations Manager contributes to Mattress Firm's success by assisting in the efficient day-to-day operations of multiple functions within their assigned distribution center and ensures the distribution center (DC) provides world-class service to internal and external customers.

Job Details

• Supervises members of the distribution center team.
• Contributes to meeting organizational financial objectives.
• Ensures the team follows standardized operational processes in accordance with safety policies and procedures.

• Assists in onboarding new team members in some cases.
• Creates and fosters an environment of trust, open two-way communication, and cohesive team effort.
• Ensures alignment with strategic vision and communicates organizational mission and values to the team.
• Holds one-on-one meetings with direct reports at least twice a month.
• Identifies opportunities and drives continuous improvement initiatives in the DC.
• Facilitates resolution of customer service issues.
• Conducts required physical cycle counts; reviews discrepancies and makes appropriate corrections.
• Ensures use of proper safety equipment and maintains a safe working environment by ensuring that all safety policies and procedures are adhered to.

Pay Range:
Up to $50,000 per year
