Responsibilities
The Assistant Merchant - Bonobos is responsible for assisting the Bonobos Merchandising team in the development, implementation,and organization of seasonal business strategies that meet or exceed our financial goals and customer expectations. The position works closely with the Production, Planning and Design Bonobos teams to analyze sales, develop new products that meet or exceed our financial goals, and ensure that we are continually bringing a compelling offering to market. They help to coordinate information across functions.

Salary Range: $ 28.17 - $39.47 hourly
Actual compensation offered is dependent upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, work location, education, relevant skills and experience of the candidate.

Responsibilities

The position works closely with the Production, Planning and Design Bonobos teams to analyze sales, develop new products that meet or exceed our financial goals, and ensure that we are continually bringing a compelling offering to market. They help to coordinate information across functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing seasonal assortment, including initial assortment documents, roadmap development, product selection, line list creation and style set up
- Style attribution, adoption, and maintenance
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly hindsight selling reports and present recaps of business performance; highlight opportunities to inform future season strategies
- Conduct regular market research and competitive analysis, both in person and on line. Utilize this information to recommend product development and/or pricing strategies
Communicate changes in tactical plans to the appropriate cross functional team members in a timely manner; partner with design and production team in management of the product development process
Partner with production, ecom, ops, and photo to track order delivery and launch timing through flip docs,as well as managing and reporting out on exceptions - Partner with manager and planning counterparts on seasonal financial plans, in season pricing action, and inventory management
- Proof editorial and site organization, photography, copy, pricing, and item description
- Compile product knowledge information to be distributed to Guideshops teams on a monthly/seasonal basis
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- 0 - 3 years related experience
- Proficient in Excel and able to adapt to new systems training
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Critical Skills & Attributes:
- Demonstrate the organizational ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
- Strong visual taste level
- Ability to analyze a problem, formulate a logical rationale for the decision and take action
- Ability to defend and effectively sell a point of view
