West Loop Veterinary Care is offering a full-time Assistant Lead Patient Care Coordinator position. Our Assistant Lead Patient Care Coordinator should possess the ability to supervise, direct, plan and coordinate a variety of service functions related to coordinating our patients' care. This position is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the delivery of excellent patient and client care. This position requires a practical knowledge of hospital organization and services, the basic rules and regulations governing visitors and animal patient treatment, standard procedures, and veterinary terminology.

Your daily responsibilities will include:
· Auditing of current systems in place, including safety practices to ensure that they are being followed.
· Scheduling the Patient Care Coordinator team and auditing time off requests.
· Monitoring the team’s productivity, efficiency, and accuracy with completion of tasks.
· Represent and train exemplary customer service and excellent patient care. Provide information on policies and protocols to team members.
· Ensuring accuracy of all intakes of payment(s). Manage funds kept and available for customer exchange.
· Helping the Patient Care Coordinator team with general duties.
Requirements:
· Ability to train, supervise, and support Patient Care Coordinators in administrative, public relations, and client education tasks that help facilitate the overall functions of the veterinary team.
· Ability to work well with all team members and ensure that your actions align with the practice’s philosophy.
· Knowledge of hospital procedures and operating instructions for making appointments, creating and establishing patient medical records, relaying information regarding patient's condition and compiling and submitting data on patients treated.
· Personal contact and Customer Service skills. Considerable tact and diplomacy are required. Must be able to accurately relay owner's account of the medical complaint(s) of the animal(s) involved to the healthcare team members who will be involved in treating the patient(s).
· Organizational and leadership skills with the ability to multitask.
Education and Experience:
· 1-2 Years of experience working as a Veterinary Receptionist or similar management position in an Animal Hospital setting.
· Knowledge of veterinary terminology.
· Customer service and client education experience.
