POSITION: ASSISTANT MANAGER, NA ECOMMERCE MERCHANDISING
DESCRIPTION
The Assistant Manager of Ecommerce Merchandising is responsible for maximizing sales through the execution of the site merchandising and content plans as well as the effective management of day to day production and site operational needs. This person will work closely and effectively with cross-functional teams to successfully launch new products and ensure seamless execution of promotions and sampling programs on site. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for maintaining an optimal user experience by performing site audits, support with A/B testing efforts, and manage enhancements to optimize conversion.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific areas of focus will include, but will not be limited to:
Launch new products and collections
Work with Director and online planning team to ensure timely receipt of forecasted inventory
Partner with Associate Merchandiser and global online to ensure all products are being set up in a timely manner.
Maintain knowledge of which products are being forecasted for NA to ensure seamless set up and execution.
Work in the CMS and product catalogue to set up enhanced product and landing pages as well as merchandising placements on key landing pages.
Ensure product and collection assets such as copy, and descriptions are consumer-facing. Include relevant products for the "works well section" on all single product pages.
Perform QA on lower environments prior to launch
Merchandising:
Actively merchandise homepage, high-traffic landing pages, and key category pages based on top performers, new launches, or key brand product focuses.
Measure page and category performance in GA and continually optimize for sales and conversion
Recommend updates based on site KPIs and MOB performance. Manage daily site placement calendar
Ensure promotional and campaign site assets are delivered in a timely manner
Provide site placements and required specs to Content Manager for all CRQs
Partner with Content Manager to ideate stories and themes for homepage and site placements
Perform analysis of homepage and landing pages in partnership with Content Manager utilizing Content Square. Report learnings and provide recommendations on how to optimize.
Keep abreast of competitive landscape and beauty trends to help facilitate future content planning
Maintain knowledge of site functionalities to utilize for new collection launches and programming
Promotions:
Partner with Associate Merchandiser on all promotional set up and implementation for US & CA
Perform thorough QA across all channels to ensure seamless execution, while also submitting tickets to QA team
Co-manage the updates of the promotional calendars
Send promotional updates to customer service and omni teams to ensure they are in the know of promotional cadence
Work with ELC Promotional team and engineers to test new promo types and report findings
Marketing and Email Support:
Recommend and build landing pages to support online marketing and email campaigns and brand-led product activations.
Work closely with content manager and creative to advise on CMS / site templates so that the final delivery aligns with site capabilities
Assist in QAing daily broadcast/marketing emails to ensure information is correct and links are accurate.
Site experience:
Partner with the global site experience and NA producer to provide prioritization of North America-led projects and identify business requirements.
Provide QA of refreshes in addition to new enhancements
Monitor site for bugs and help rectify/enhance user experience; liaise with engineers and creative team for changes and updates to the site
Partner with global online and other cross functional teams to co-manage promotional and merchandising opportunities for site functionalities including, but not limited to Refer-A -Friend, Auto- Replenishment, Afterpay, BOPIS, Postmates and more
Inventory:
Work closely with the online planning team to ensure the timely receipt of inventory for collections and programs.
Set up and monitor ticker inventory levels; actively manage ticker and stock statuses so that sell thru is at 100% for limited life collections and promotions
Provide updates to customer service and online team if promotion is at risk of selling out
Advise on additional inventory needs based on collection sell thru
On-site search:
Actively manage on-site results in partnership with Associate Site Merchandiser; continually include terms and results for new product and collection launches and beauty trends.
Adjust order of results based on relevancy
User Generated Content/ Social content aggregator:
Oversee the collection of new images in our social aggregation tool. Implement Social content module on new collection and product pages.
User Generated Content/ Ratings and Reviews:
Analyze ratings and reviews report; Identify products that have declined in rating and monitor customer reviews.
Provide recommendations and updates to product copy, descriptions, and images to combat declining trend.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with at least 4 years related experience in ecommerce and site merchandising.
- Strong project management, organization, and attention to details with the ability to work well with corporate and cross functional teams
- Experience with site QA and multiple testing environments.
- Strong analytical skills and sales driven; experience with providing recommendations for future action.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in parallel while working in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills to work with cross functional teams effectively and efficiently
- Experience in working with Customer Service, Online planning, and Distribution Centers on fulfillment and inventory issues a must
- Aptitude for working with Internet tools (i.e., web-based reports, databases, CMS, vendor platforms)
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $71,000 106,000 Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results as well as participation in the share incentive plan.
