Position Summary:
It’s an exciting time at Bunker Hill Charities! We are continuing to grow our support throughout the community. We are currently accepting applications for the newly created role of Assistant Manager.
The Assistant Manager is a crucial member of our team at Bunker Hill Farms, a private resort located NW of Chicago in Woodstock, IL. The Assistant Manager will represent our resort and brand to the fullest. They must be professional, detail oriented, and exhibit excellent communication.
Duties:
- Provide event recap with areas of success and improvement per each event
- Assist w/ Owner Non-Charity Events
- Assist Interior Building Maintenance Management
- Assist in Managing on property team
- Assist to ensure the team is set up for success at Bunker Hill Farms resort during executive retreats, guest stays, and golf outings.
- Follow guest agenda and keep experience/event on schedule
- Assist in event operations set up, tear down and activities.
- Assist with booking & managing outside vendors
- Act as the main point of contact for the on property team, when operations manager is not present
- Assist in managing Pre/Post Event Duties
- Assist in the set up and tear down before and after outings
- Interact directly with guests to deliver an unparalleled customer service experience
- Assist as needed with food and beverage set up
- Assist with event logistics for our annual events ensuring all operations are running smoothly
- Assist with miscellaneous projects
Qualifications:
- College Degree with at least one year hospitality experience (ie. hotel, restaurant, customer service, or area of study)
OR
- High school diploma or GED, Two year hospitality experience (ie. hotel, restaurant, customer service, or area of study)
- Complete understanding of customer service and interacting with guests in a professional manner.
- Must be able to learn quickly and adapt to change in a positive way.
- Positive “can do” attitude - willing to go above & beyond to exceed guest expectations
- A team player that is willing to be a leader during events and work with others to accomplish tasks.
- Must remain professional and positive while facing challenges.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and punctual.
- Able to stand for long periods of time (8+ hours) and lift 15-30lbs during the event set up.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Resort & Office are located in the Northwest Suburbs.
- This is a seasonal (May-Oct), hourly, part-time role with the opportunity for growth to a year round position.
- This position is required to work regular evenings and weekends as scheduled by the operations manager.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
