Under the direction of the Loan Manager, this position is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the loan department and ensures that lending policies and procedures are in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Obtain necessary financial data and any other pertaining documents. Inputs and updates loan application in LOS system.
- Analyze, underwrite and decision all types of consumer loan applications within established limits and ensures all credit union lending guidelines and policies are followed.
- Communicate loan decisions such as approvals, stipulations, counter offers and denials to members. Schedule and conducts loan closings explaining loan terms and conditions.
- Cross-sell credit union products and services. Perform outbound calls to current and perspective members.
- Perform various audits for the department.
- Work and communicate effectively with other team members.
- Promptly assists and resolve member with various loan inquiries or issues.
- Follows and complies with all federal and state lending regulations.
- Assist in the management of loan personnel, to include but not limited to staffing, scheduling, job performance, training, staffing development.
- Assist in the management of the daily workflow to ensure quality service to staff and members.
- Responds and assists with member’s inquiries and complaints.
- Prepares required reports for management on a timely basis.
- Keeps informed of current policies and regulations and recommends changes to department’s policy, procedures and practices for efficiency and compliance.
- Loan Review Committee member.
- Supports Loan Manager in their duties and serves as back-up in their absence.
Skills/Knowledge
1. Minimum 5 years in lending.
2. Computer skills including Microsoft Office programs such as Word, e-mail, and familiarity with using an automated loan platform on a core system.
3. Strong analytical, written and verbal skills required.
4. Knowledge of financial and regulatory requirements.
Education/Work Experience
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferable, or equivalent business degree or 5 years of consumer lending experience.
2. Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience required.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
