Description

CP Kids is a sunny and spacious early learning center for children ages 3 months to 5 years. The mission of CP Kids is to create a learning environment in which young children learn through play, actively developing their language, cognitive, social/emotional and motor skills. Located within one of the world's most spectacular sports facilities, CP Kids offers students additional and unique opportunities for learning, fun, and community building all year round!

We seek an enthusiastic and energetic Assistant Infant Teacher whoenjoys playing, facilitating, and exploring with children in a mixed age setting. Candidates should engage the children, work collaboratively with their teaching team, and feel comfortable being out and about in the city, exploring the community. We strive to create an exciting and fun learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree or be near completion.
  • Prior experience with children 3-22 months preferred.
  • Must have excellent references.
  • Passionate about working with infant/toddler age children.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
  • Must be creative, nurturing, and willing to work as part of a team.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and build relationships with families.
  • Candidates must have a strong understanding of the developmental needs of young children.
  • Must be able to run, carry, lift, play and be active with the students.
  • Interact with parents and students in a professional manner.
  • Work as part of a teaching team, helping to plan and implement curriculum.
  • Understand and work with parents to help them grow and be able to answer questions i.e. eating, schedule, sleep etc.
  • Be responsible for the safety of students both inside the school and out in the neighborhood.
  • Help children gain independence and self-help skills.
  • Punctuality and dependability are a must.
  • Play and engage with the children, model appropriate language and social interaction.
  • Calm, flexible, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Feed, change, care for and stimulate infant growth and development.

Tuition Assistance Chelsea Piers supports employees' continuing education. After one (1) year of full-time service, CP Kids employees will be eligible to receive tuition assistance paid by Chelsea Piers in the amount of up to $5,250 per calendar year for a total of three (3) consecutive years for a maximum total of $15,750. Employees must be pursuing a higher degree in the field of early childhood education and must maintain full-time status throughout the course or certification, and up until the reimbursement payment is made.

TransitChek Program You will be eligible to participate in the TransitChek program, which allows for the pre-tax purchase of MetroCards or TransitChek debit cards that are used to purchase commuting tickets and passes from transit operators throughout the metropolitan area.

Employee Referral Program We encourage our employees to refer their qualified family and friends to work at Chelsea Piers. For any referral who is hired and stays at Chelsea Piers a minimum of sixty (60) days, you will receive a referral bonus of $500 for full-time hires (minimum 35 hours per week) and $250 for part-time/non-seasonal hires (minimum twenty (20) hours per week).

Upon your start date, you will also receive an Employee Venue Usage sheet detailing other exciting employee perks and discounts provided throughout the complex.
