Second Assistant Superintendent/Agronomic Technician

Hourly Wage:
$22 - $25 per hour (40 hour work week)
Glen Oaks Country Club is an 18-hole private Golf Course located in West Des Moines, Iowa. Our Golf Maintenance Teamworks together to provide the best possible playing conditions for our membership daily. The Second Assistant Superintendent/Agronomic Technician reports directly to the Assistant Superintendent and is responsible for assisting with every aspect of Golf Course care and maintenance including but not limited to the following:
- Daily Course maintenance
- Pesticide and Fertilizer applications
- Equipment maintenance
- Operation of mowing equipment
- Overseeing activities and projects as assigned
- Leading the maintenance team as needed
- Winter snow removal
- Fertilizer/chemical applications
- Documentation of each application according to state regulations
- Performs routine inspections on all spraying/spreading equipment
- Calibration of each piece of equipment to ensure correct application rates
- Maintains chemical/fertilizer storage and mixing areas
- Routinely updates inventories
