Position: Assistant General Manager
Pay: 105k plus up to 15% annual bonus
Job Summary:
The Asst. General Manager ensures that restaurant day-to-day operations are running smoothly. The Asst. General Manager will draw up weekly schedules, order manage staff, and assist the General Manager with training, recruiting, promotions and planning. The Asst. General Manager must have the ability to positively influence and motivate staff members.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the General Manager with overall restaurant operations.
- Assisting with training of new hires, restaurant promotions and planning.
- Assisting with restaurant inventory and budget control.
- Supervising staff and delegating of daily tasks.
- Ensuring restaurant policies and procedures are followed.
- Ensuring regulatory guidelines of the food service industry are followed.
- Performing duties in the absence of the General Manager.
- Setting of goals to optimize department team’s performance and ensuring department
- leadership is held accountable.
- Supervising day-to-day operations and understanding the different positions and duties of staff members.
- Training and coaching of staff members.
- Establishing a positive relationship amongst staff and assisting with employee relations.
- Upholding the restaurant’s standards and ensuring excellent customer service.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a restaurant management
- Great interpersonal and communications skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to identify weaknesses and provide necessary coaching
- Leadership skills
- Organizational Skills
- Able to adapt and work well under pressure
- Physical ability to stand, bend and twist for extended periods of time
