We're seeking an Assistant General Manager to join our team at White Lotus Group and assist in the lead of our hospitality industry. This opportunity will allow you to assist the General Manager in overseeing key operational areas, including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Valet, and Maintenance Departments. Under the direction of the General Manager, the Assistant General Manager plays a crucial role in upholding property goals, maintaining company standards, and exceeding corporate expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Management/Supervisory:
- Directly supervise hotel staff, including recruitment, training, performance appraisal, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure adherence to hotel policies and procedures by all staff members.
- Conduct weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual meetings.
- Assist in annual salary reviews and ensure compliance with wage and hour guidelines.
- Act as General Manager in their absence.
Financial Responsibilities/Forecasting:
- Prepare weekly summary reports for the General Manager.
- Maintain accurate financial records, including cash flow, accounts receivable/payable, and payroll.
- Review, validate, and process vendor invoices.
- Assist in budget preparation and expense control across all departments.
Guest Service:
- Lead by example in providing extraordinary service to guests, employees, and vendors.
- Resolve escalated customer relation issues and inquiries promptly.
- Ensure guest requests are met satisfactorily and represent the property positively.
- Implement systems and procedures for guest safety and security.
Other Duties as Assigned:
- Fill in vacant shifts when necessary and ensure staff and property security.
- Support sales and marketing efforts as directed by the General Manager.
Skills, Education, and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Accounting and financial experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Windows-based software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and provide superior customer service.
- Flexibility to work a variable schedule and travel as needed.
