Signature Party Rentals is looking to hire an Assistant Manager at our Indio CA office. You must be willing to relocate or be within a daily commutable distance to our warehouse.
The Assistant General Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a warehouse. This includes managing staff, developing, and implementing policies and procedures, overseeing inventory control, and ensuring that all safety and quality standards are met. The assistant GM will provide support to our Sales, Management, and Operations Teams.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Hires and trains new employee.
- Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of assigned staff.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plans and organizes daily activities related to production and operations.
- Measures productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports.
- Coordinates with other support departments such as human resources, finance, and logistics to ensure successful production operations.
- Oversees the shipping and receiving functions.
- Determines labor needs to meet production goals.
- Assists with budget preparation for operations unit.
- Coordinates with marketing and sales departments to determine pricing, timing, and number of sales promotions, and products to be sold.
- Assists with client conversation and resolving issues.
- Assists with, or prepares and updates, organization’s operations manual and policies.
- Works closely with the sales team to help develop strategies, resolve issues, and attend meetings.
- Performs other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in management in a warehouse environment
- Extensive knowledge of operations and production management.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities.
- Bilingual, Spanish is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
