Join us to find out why. The position: AMEWAS, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and talented Assistant Facility Security Officer (FSO) to support the AWEWAS Corporate office.

A typical day as an Assistant Facility Security Officer (FSO) may include: Coordinates personnel security clearance requirements with the 32 CFR 117 National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) rules and various government entities Updates and delivers required security awareness education Conducts briefing and debriefing for cleared/non-cleared employees/consultants to include orientation, annual and foreign travel Interacts with government security support staff and Trusted Agents Utilizes the Access Control System to generate badges for employees, contractors and visitors Administers and processes incoming/outgoing visit requests Maintains all security documentation and files accurately and in accordance with requirements Operates and maintains Access Control Systems Processes employees for Common Access Cards Completes SAAR-Ns as required Conducts NATO Briefings/De-briefings Conducts Courier Briefings and assigns Courier Cards Creates and maintains personnel security folders Updates and maintains the company quarterly Security Newsletter Provides support to the Headquarters Front Desk for monitoring of access and phone coverage as needed Must-haves: HS Diploma or equivalent 1 years of relevant work experience Experience with DISS Experience with eQIP/eAPP Experience with SWFT Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Proficient in Adobe Excellent written and verbal communication Ability to speak in front of 10+ people The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance Desired Skills: Possess creativity for developing new training packages and designing Security Newsletter Skills crucial to success at AMEWAS, Inc.: Customer-focused attitude with high level of professionalism and discretion. Ability to work effectively with management and part of a team to meet targets.

Is reliable, possesses initiative, and works well as an individual or part of a team. Physical environment and working conditions: The physical environment requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday. Work is physically comfortable.

The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc. The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site. In some occasions, the employee may be required to report to offices or buildings near the work site.
