Summary

As an Assistant Executive Director, you'll provide essential support to our Executive Director, ensuring that our facility runs smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

The Assistant Executive Director is responsible for overseeing a segment of departments within the facility, plus maintaining department budgets and KPIs. The Assistant Executive Director also:

  • Directly supervises and oversees performance of Outpatient Services, Dietary, Discharge Planning, and Patient Financial Counseling departments (including Outpatient Services admissions and clinical performance)
  • Plans and organizes adequate staffing to meet patient needs
  • Supervises and coordinates the activity and projects of their departments (including interviewing, hiring, and training of employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints; resolving problems; completing performance reviews and disciplinary action as needed)
  • Oversees discharge planning & manages facility relationships with aftercare providers to ensure each patient is set up for continued success in their recovery journey
  • Implements and reinforces policies and procedures as necessary
  • Develops, implements, and maintains strategy for ensuring compliance with all aspects of relevant facility regulations, including state regulations and the Joint Commission
  • Performs other administrative and supervisory duties to ensure efficient operations
  • Provides 24 hour & 7 days/week on call coverage for all urgent facility needs (optionally assigning on call responsibilities)
  • In absence of staff, performs those job responsibilities personally (if qualified) or through delegation to other staff members
  • Works cooperatively and collaboratively with everyone including management, staff, clients, the public, etc.
  • Does additional duties as assigned
  • Reports directly to the Executive Director

Qualifications

  • BA/BS or higher in Marketing, Business Management, Health Administration or an equivalent field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in an administrator role or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in the inpatient chemical dependency field preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Personal passion or interest in substance abuse issues strongly preferred
  • Commitment to drug-free lifestyle and responsible alcohol use is essential
  • Authorization to work in the US is required

Salary and Benefits:

  • $80,000
  • Medical, dental, vision, 401k w/ 4% match and unlimited PTO
