- Develops and maintains partnerships with academic divisions to create programs and events that connect students to experiences in and outside of the classroom. Programs include activities that will assist students in achieving their academic goals, support retention within specific majors, assist in exploring career options associated with the major, and promote social events or club-related activities within the major.
- Coordinates all aspects of New Student Orientation sessions, including, but not limited to: space reservation and other related logistics, publicity, workshop development, Orientation Leader hiring, supervision, and training, volunteer recruitment and training, student social opportunities, procurement, and evaluation.
- Maintains, updates, and promotes online New Student Orientation Module.
- Assists other areas of the college with activities targeting new and prospective students and serves as the designated Student Life outreach person.
- Oversees the operation of the Game Room including supervision of the Game Room Manager and indirect supervision of Game Room Assistants. Support Game Room Manager in responsibilities such as, review and approval of student employee schedules, repairs, supply orders, usage reports, contracted services, overall appearance, and reservations. Additionally, conducts frequent needs analysis of students regarding Game Room requests and suggestions. Maintains optimal conditions within the Game Room. Works closely with Director and the Associate Director to ensure Game Room staff are properly trained.
- Serves as the College's Voter Registration Coordinator. Oversees the implementation and compliance of the Student and Military Voter Empowerment Act, including developing a campus action plan congruent to state mandates of voter and civic education and engagement.
- Serves as cost center manager for Co-curricular programs, New Student Orientation, and the Game Room budgets, which includes procurement, contracts, and budget development.
- Represents Student Life concerns in the absence of the Associate Director and Director of Student Life.
- Provides opportunities for students to develop and experience leadership development, social connection, wellness, and diversity, equity and inclusion via programming and resources.
- Responsible for data collection and reporting related to New Student Orientation, Co-Curricular Programs, and the Game Room, and facilitate orientation program review and progress report.
- Supervises and assists in hiring Student Life team members.
- Creates promotional and website materials, and social media content for supervised areas and for the department. Uses student engagement platforms to engage students.
- Maintains and communicates the most current knowledge regarding state, FERPA, and, voting rights, clubs, and student information requirements as well as all Student Activities-related laws, policies, and procedures.
- Assists Director with strategic planning process.
- Updates knowledge by attending workshops, conferences, meetings, and other professional development activities.
- Serves on committees as requested and performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree, and two years' experience in developing programs and activities for diverse college students, as well as collaboration with college departments is required.
- Knowledge and experience with technology, including use of student information systems is required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including public speaking, is required.
- Demonstrated experience in the effective planning, implementation, and assessment of events and programs is required.
- Exceptional managerial skills, including supervision, budget development, and project management, is required.
- Knowledge and experience with social media, marketing tools, and student engagement systems is preferred.

- Knowledge of federal and state laws, policies, procedures, and national organizations and publications related to student programs and services.
- Knowledge of internet, Ellucian Colleague student records system, college network, phone, electronic mail, and college website. Knowledge of budgetary and strategic planning and personnel policies and procedures. Ability to learn, implement, and use new computer applications.
