Specialized Experience Requirement:
For the GS-15: You must have one-year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is defined as a majority of the following: Developing and implementing wildland fire qualification requirements and workforce development strategies including standards for developing a well-trained Fire and Aviation Management (FAM) workforce; responsible for providing leadership to regional/national FAM programs, coordinating the development of short and long-range strategic program direction and providing oversight to FAM program(s) across the agency; Identifying and analyzing emerging workforce development issues and adjusting accordingly short-term priorities and long term solutions.

TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENT: If you are a current federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled.
