Assistant Director (Part-Time), Graduate Programs in Education
Summary/general purpose of job:
Assist in long-term and day-to-day management and accreditation of graduate programs in education
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with the Office of College Relations to maintain program website, social media accounts, and up-to-date advertising materials
- Coordinate orientations including faculty, candidates, and clinical instructors
- Plan program-related events on Randolph College's campus and online
- Create and maintain articulation agreements with other IHEs
- Maintain master strategic calendar for graduate program
- Support the educator preparation program's continuing accreditation through the Council for the Accreditation of Education (CAEP)
- Represent Randolph College (mission, values, Honor Code) on and off campus
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Familiarity with Virginia teaching licensure requirements, including licensure assessments
- Familiarity with program accreditation requirements and processes
- Knowledge of and ability to carry out qualitative and quantitative research that supports evidence-based continuous improvement
- Ability to work independently and in support of others
- Attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to learn and work comfortably with specialized software and social media (e.g., Google Forms, Docs, and Sheets; Excel; SPSS)
- Committed to recruiting diverse and qualified students

- Strong work ethic, enthusiasm, energy, creativity, and sense of humor
- Driver's license and good driving record
- Master's degree (required) or terminal degree (preferred) in a field related to education
- Preferred: Research experience in related disciplines
- Preferred: Teaching experience (online and in-person) at the collegiate level
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position is part-time (20 hours per week). Some travel in addition to office work. Must be able to work at desk and on computer for long periods of time. May be standing/walking/sitting for extended periods. Flexible schedule, including some evenings, may be required. Schedule will be coordinated with the EPP Program Director. May lift 10-15 lbs. and may walk/bend in the performance of the job function.
