Assistant Director of Early Childhood Developement

QUALIFICATIONS

  • CERTIFICATION: North Carolina Early Childhood Administration Credential or its equivalent, or North Carolina Early Childhood Credential or its equivalent
  • EXPERIENCE: Must be 21 years of age with 2 or more years experience in a child care setting
  • SKILLS/ABILITIES: The candidate has demonstrated an ability to:
  • effectively communicate with supervisors, peers, teachers, students, and families
  • effectively collaborate with all school stakeholders
  • model desired behavior among staff and students
  • hold students, staff, and parents accountable
  • be highly organized with demonstrated ability to meet reporting deadlines
  • maintain confidentiality of documents and conversations
  • Be a self-starter and team player
  • Commitment to the mission, vision, and core values of the ENC.
  • Other qualifications as the Board of Directors may find appropriate

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Financial Growth
  • Conduct Tours of SPARK and consult with prospective families to promote values, culture and goals.
  • Assist with classroom enrollments, registration fees, tuition, child files, and communications with families.
  • Human Resources
  • Report any staffing issues, client issues and damaged materials
  • Supervise and support teaching staff in developing and implementing the curriculum.
  • Support, guide, and train staff in utilizing various assessment tools of observation, documentation, writing, letters, data collection, work samples, photos, videos and other methods to assess children's developmental skills and progress both individually through portfolio collection and with classroom curriculum plans and evaluation.
  • Operations
  • Ensure the supervision, safety and well-being of children and classroom teaching staff daily including moving staff with children as they change locations throughout the day.
  • Report any maintenance items that needed attention.

SALARY RANGE

$43,000.00 - $50,000.00 Annually
