Summary: 

The Director of Community Impact and Engagement will report directly to the Executive Director of Community & Economic Development, assuming a pivotal role in fostering positive connections within the community. Responsibilities encompass a wide array of tasks including community outreach, program development, relationship building, team leadership, event coordination, data analysis, advocacy, communication, community education, and budget management. This role requires a demonstrates ability in strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to effectively engage with community members, design and implement impactful initiatives, cultivate partnerships with local entities, manage a dedicated team, coordinate community events, analyze program effectiveness, advocate for community interests, maintain transparent communication channels, develop educational programs, and responsibly manage budget allocations.

Core Functions:

    Lead and mentor a team of undergraduate fellows within the Community Development Department.Engage with community members to understand their needs and concerns and develop/maintain strong relationships within the community.Design, implement, and continuously assess programs/initiatives addressing identified community needs.Establish and maintain partnerships with local organizations, stakeholders, and government entities, collaborating to leverage resources and support.Manage a client portfolio ensuring completion of required services.  Plan, oversee, and coordinate logistics for events promoting community involvement and addressing social issues.Evaluate program impact through data analysis and feedback, using insights for informed decision-making.Advocate for community interests, collaborating with relevant authorities and stakeholders to drive positive change.Regularly communicate with community members, stakeholders, and organizational leadership, maintaining transparency and soliciting feedback.Develop educational programs/resources, facilitating learning and skill development within the community.Manage the budget for community impact and Engagement initiatives, ensuring financial accountability.Develop and execute strategies aligning community engagement efforts with organizational goals, measuring and reporting on impact.Stay informed about community issues, trends, and best practices, representing the organization in community forums while upholding diversity, equity, and inclusion values.

Qualifications:

    Master's degree in organizational leadership, community development, social work, public administration, or related field Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in community engagement, program development, or related field.Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proven track record of building and maintaining partnerships.Experience in event planning, data analysis, advocacy, and budget management.Passion for community service and social impact.Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and community members.
