Position Description
The Assistant Director of Bronchiectasis andNTM Education and Community is responsible for the development and management of patient and provider educational materials for the COPD Foundation.
Reporting to the Senior Director ofBronchiectasis and NTM Education and Care Delivery, the Assistant Director of Bronchiectasis andNTM Education and Community reviews and updates existing educational content and resources, and develops new content for patients and providers. This team member also manages the BronchandNTM360social community.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Educational material and content development for individuals with Bronchiectasis and NTM lung disease:
- Assures consistency of Bronchiectasis and NTM educational materials content with validation statements, guidelines, and standards of care.
- Assists and implements updating of Bronchiectasis and NTM educational materials library.
- Creates patient-facing educational content for Bronchiectasis and NTM.
- Creates provider-facing educational content for Bronchiectasis and NTM.
- Brainstorms and suggests ideas for educational material development.
- Develops educational project plan and calendar. Tracks progress and milestones against project plan as well as budget against expenditures. Keeps program on time and on budget.
- Interfaces professionally with internal project staff; external corporate partner contacts; advisory boards; health care provider and patient partners; and vendors.
- Develops funding proposals for Education and Community engagement efforts.
- Researches and writes articles and blogs as requested.
- Researches and writes website content for Bronchiectasis and NTM 360 website.
- Serves as BronchandNTM360social community moderator by:
- Viewing all BronchandNTM360social posts by community members to ensure that the dialogue is appropriate, accurate, and supportive.
- Attending BronchandNTM360social coffee breaks.
- Reviewing, editing, and posting blog posts written by other contributors.
- Creating daily content on BronchandNTM360social in the form of answers in the Q&A section and dialogue within the Activity Feed.
- Serves as Project Lead on critical Bronchiectasis and NTM 360 campaigns such as World Bronchiectasis Day, World NTM Awareness Day
- Communicates with global partners and schedules/coordinates meetings.
- Creates educational content to assist with the promotion of WBD.
- Leads internal team meetings regarding WBD planning involving communications, department leadership, and development.
- Serves as a liaison between the COPDF and programs/organizations representing the WBD campaign and updating individuals and groups as needed.

The ideal candidate for the role of Assistant Director of Bronchiectasis andNTM Education and Community will be a self-starter who possesses the following skills and traits:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be intrinsically motivated, consider follow-through essential to project completion, and be able to manage multiple projects and timelines concurrently.
- Ability to write well-crafted content (e.g., internal and external communications, PowerPoint decks) that conform to the COPDF style guide.
- Proven organizational, problem solving, and planning skills with the ability to set priorities.
- Able to work collaboratively with others in a remote working environment.
- Microsoft Office 365 program fluency required.
- Knowledge of and experience with using Salesforce, SharePoint, and Teams.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Respiratory Therapist or Nursing Degree with a experience in Bronchiectasis and NTM
- BA or BS degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience
- Mid-level management and respiratory therapy background required
