Assistant Director of Admissions: Chicago Regional

The Assistant Director: Chicago Regional assists in coordinating the admission process that meets targeted enrollment goals and enrolls a talented, qualified, diverse student body that enhances the reputation of Bradley University. The Assistant Director will be the primary source of communication and outreach to prospective students, applicants, and admitted students. The incumbent will advise applicants on admissions requirements and assist with the management of inquiry communication and application processing.

Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Representing the University to prospective students and the general public with the highest degree of professionalism through an array of outreach programs and recruitment activities.
• Manage an individual travel schedule to engage and inform prospective students and their families as well as develop positive educational partnerships and working relationships with high school and community college guidance counselors.
• Identifies, recruits, and contributes to increasing the population of admitted and enrolled under-represented students in designated high schools and regions.
• Conduct and assist campus visit programs and staff training.
• Advise prospective students and family members about admission criteria, financial assistance process and other critical factors in the college decision process.
• Participate in a variety of projects and events related to student recruitment both on and off campus.
• Review and assess applications and make university admission and scholarship decisions.
• Analyze current and historical admissions results and trends within the geographic territory and develop and implement strategies to surpass enrollment goals.
• Utilize CRM Slate to maintain updated records and communication with students, parents and school counselors.
• Participation in state and regional professional organizations and events (CARR, IACAC).
• Provide mentorship for admissions counselors
• Serve as a liaison to a department or program on campus

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
• 3 or more years in Admissions Experience in a counselor or higher role
• Valid Driver’s License

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required, both written and oral, as well as high-level sophistication and maturity in social and professional settings.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects; flexible and comfortable in a fast-paced environment, with excellent follow through.
• Ability to maintain team documents/deliverables, procure or assist in team training.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment. Strong analytical and independent decision-making ability is required.
• Entrepreneurial spirit, positive attitude, and energy to implement new strategies and meet ambitious goals.
• Strong organization skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel and work evenings and weekends.
