The Assistant Director of Finance will be based in Vail and have responsibility overseeing the financial operations for all properties in Vail. The ADOF directly oversees the financial reporting, accounting, tax and risk management functions for Vail. This role oversees the financial reporting and provides leadership support to the Accountant.
- Prepares and provides oversight of the preparation of financial statements.
- Reviews monthly financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Meets with department heads to review monthly financial statements and forecasts.
- Reviews and approves all disbursements.
- Prepares reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, looking at the past and into the future.
- In conjunction with the Director of Finance, budget preparation and presentation.
- Oversees the fixed asset system.
- Assists in strategic planning and management meetings.
- Oversees accounting and budgeting for capital expenditures.
- Oversees all HOA accounting and financial reporting.
- Responsible for presenting financial reports to owners and HOA’s.
- Oversees the A/R and A/P process with the help of the Accountant position.

- Responsible for regular team member reviews and interviewing and hiring when required.
- 4-year accounting degree or comparable industry experience.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to work autonomously, with little direction and oversight.
- Ability to work remotely as desired and in a collaborative office environment.
