The Assistant Director - Audio Visual Sales is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Audio Visual Sales process. This includes identifying sales opportunities, assigning leads, managing communication with clients, ensuring sales process standards are met, and coordinating with other departments to ensure the smooth execution of events. Additionally, the Assistant Director is responsible for handling premier and VIP groups, maintaining sales tracking reports, and forecasting future sales. The Assistant Director also plays a role in conducting interviews, hiring, and providing coaching and performance feedback as directed by the Director of Audio Visual.
Responsibilities:
- Identify sales opportunities and assign leads to sales managers
- Oversee the communication flow to clients, ensuring their needs are met
- Ensure all sales process standards are adhered to by sales managers
- Coordinate with the operations team and other departments to provide necessary information for event execution
- Handle premier and VIP groups by contacting clients, creating proposals, recommending pricing, and overseeing initial client contact on-site
- Maintain sales tracking reports and forecast future sales for use by the Director and operations teams
- Conduct interviews and hire as directed by the Director of Audio Visual
- Conduct coaching and performance feedback sessions with team members
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Audio Visual Sales or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client management
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills for sales tracking and forecasting
- Ability to coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Experience in conducting interviews and providing performance feedback is a plus
- Knowledge of Audio Visual equipment and services is preferred
