Job Description


Position Overview: Under direction of executive or senior leadership, serves as Administrator on Duty with considerable latitude of initiative and judgment. Performs highly confidential and exceptionally difficult, complex and responsible leadership tasks.

Responsibilities:

1. Serves as Senior leader during the hours of 5 p.m.- 1 a.m. including coordinating services for residents and staff
2. Collaborate with Nursing staff in onboarding new admissions, including meal provision for late admissions.
3. Conduct daily unit and departmental rounds to identify areas of concern during the tour
4. Communicate and document any grievances and complaints during the tour
5. Assist with investigation of incidents and occurrences, document and communicate with Senior leadership
6. Assist clinical team in coordinating transportation for transfer resident, when applicable
7. Assist Social Work with after-hours discharges.
8. Assist clinical team in obtaining supplies if deemed necessary
9. Notify OIG of any mandatory notification, communicate notifications to Senior Leadership
10. Implement policies and procedures
11. Serve as Incident Commander during emergencies
12. Complete daily documentation in database and notify senior leadership
13. Any other duties assigned by CEO or Senior leadership

Minimum Qualifications


1. Master’s degree from an accredited college or university; and one (1) year of administrative and operational support or related experience; or 2. Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university; and two (2) years of experience, as described in “1” above; or 3. A satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education, and/or experience, as described in #3 of Assignment Levels I and II above. 4. All employees must complete the NYC Health + Hospitals Supervisory training within six (6) months of appointment.
