This position is responsible for the coordination and implementation of TBI waiver and private pay services in the home and community, including Service Coordination, Structured Day Program, CIC, and ILST. The mission of the program is to assist individuals with TBIs to live rich, meaningful lives and achieve personal goals. The Operations Manager will oversee overall quality, efficiency and productivity of the Acquired Brain Injury Program (ABI). In collaboration with the Service Coordinator and Structured Day Program staff, the Operations Manager will ensure that that the individual needs of the consumer are met and that staff receive the requisite training.
Tasks and Duties
- Hire and orient new ABI staff
- Conduct initial and annual ABI training as required by the TBI Waiver Manual.
- Maintain training record for each staff member
- Ensure the completion and approval of Detailed Goal Plans & Individual Service Reports (ISRs)
- Evaluate productivity and efficiency of staff
- Provide guidance and feedback as needed through one-on-one meetings with staff
- Conduct team meetings
- Complete performance review of ABI staff annually
- Approve case notes, Goal Plans, and Individual Service Reports (ISR) in NetSmart
- Ensure that all reporting requirements are met
- Maintain overall compliance with the TBI/NHTD Medicaid Waiver
- Oversee/conduct all aspects of Serious Reportable Incidents (SRIs)
- Ensure sound fiscal management of the program
- Develop new service offerings based on the needs of participants
- Maintain close working relationship with the Regional Resource Development Center (RRDC) and other agencies as necessary
- Monitor/approve timecards/time off requests

Qualifications
Successful candidates will have supervisory experience and must meet educational and experience requirements as stated in the NYS/DOH Medicaid TBI Waiver Manual and below
- Occupational Therapist
- Registered Physical Therapist
- Speech-Language Pathologist
- Registered Professional Nurse
- Certified Special Education Teacher
- Certified Rehabilitation Counselor
- MSW
- Master of Psychology
And
A minimum of 1 year of experience providing functionally based assessment and independent living skills and self help skills training to individuals with disabilities.
OR
A Bachelors Degree and 2 years of similar experience as noted above.
OR
A high school diploma and 3 years of similar experience as noted above.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required
