Description:
The purpose of this position is to perform professional legal work assisting the County Attorney in carrying out duties as legal counsel for Crow Wing County. This position will focus on Community Services legal matters such as CHIPS, Permanency, TPRs and Adoptions. Work is performed under the general supervision of the County Attorney and First Assistant County Attorney.Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited undergraduate university or college
- Graduation from an accredited law school
- Eligible to take Minnesota Bar Exam. Anticipate to become licensed to practice law in the State of Minnesota within 3-6 months; or
- Completion of the MN State and multi-state bar examination and professional responsibility examination
- Licensed to practice law in the State of Minnesota
- Working knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, regulations, and ordinances and established precedent
- Valid state issued driver's license
