What You’ll Be Doing
The Assistant Controller will manage all accounting functions for our Real Estate and hospitality holdings, including a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential properties, as well as a country club and family entertainment center. This role offers excellent growth opportunities to expand into multiple accounting functions for all our affiliated companies.
As ICD’s Assistant Controller, you may be responsible for the following functions including but not limited to:
- Review of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable for properties.
- Monthly Tenant Invoices and Statements.
- Monthly Bank Reconciliations for multiple Cash Accounts
- Calculation of Monthly Management fees.
- Prepare recurring monthly journal entries.
- Prepare and/or Review Monthly Financial Statements for various Properties.
- Prepare Quarterly and Annual Consolidated Financial Statements for various holding companies.
- Complete Common Area Maintenance and Real Estate Tax annual reconciliations.
- Maintain tenant lease files.
- Acquire tenant insurance certificates, vendor W-9s, and vendor waivers.
- Maintain spreadsheets for various property data.
Required Skills
- Adaptability and flexibility to shift tasks and balance priorities
- Ability to learn quickly
- Familiarity with accounting systems, MS Dynamics/Great Plains preferred
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite products, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel
