Compass Healthcare Consulting & Placement is conducting a search for an experienced Assistant Controller for a Healthcare organization located in White Plains, NY. Qualified candidates will have at least 4 years of experience in public and private accounting. Must be a CPA, with general ledger, audit, closings, cost reporting, team management experience and knowledge of all applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulatory requirements. ASSISTANT CONTROLLER
Responsible for the Company’s monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process and management reporting of results, and operating metrics
Advise on financial analyses and decision-making regarding capital investments, pricing, contract negotiations, significant costs, benchmarks, and other matters with senior management, Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Ensure staff is trained in their responsibilities and meeting all deadlines with a high quality work product
Prepare and coordinate the presentation of financial statements
Oversee all credit facilities and debt covenants, ensuring 100% compliance
Partner with business leaders and FP&A team to build annual budgets
Plan and manage the efficient conduct of the annual financial audits
Instill a “continuous improvement” discipline and ensures a thorough and rigorous internal controls environment
Plan and manage regulatory reporting, including tax filings and compliance across various jurisdictions
Partner with the CAO and CFO on ad-hoc analyses, as needed
Requirements:
In office, 5 days per week.
CPA required
Experience with accrual-based accounting and GAAP requirements
Experience with tax, payroll, regulatory, and legal filings
Experience with multi-location financial reporting
Minimum of a B.A. in a relevant field
10+ years of general accounting and management experience within a fast-paced rapidly growing organization
Demonstrates success in change management experiences
Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and priorities
Meticulous, and extremely strong sense of attention to detail and ability to manage highly confidential information
Advanced Excel skills
Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards
