Join us in shaping the future of our collegiate Women’s Lacrosse program as an Assistant Coach! This exciting opportunity offers a dynamic role where you'll be instrumental in the comprehensive management of our team, from coaching and administration to recruitment and coordination.

As an Assistant Coach, you'll be at the forefront of our program's success, working closely with the head Coach to develop and execute strategic plans for both on-field performance and player development. Your passion for the sport and dedication to excellence will inspire our athletes to reach their full potential and achieve success both on and off the field.

In addition to coaching responsibilities, you'll play a key role in program administration, handling various tasks to ensure smooth operations and compliance with regulatory standards. Your expertise in recruitment will be invaluable as you identify and attract top-tier talent to join our lacrosse family, contributing to the ongoing growth and success of our program.

About Quinnipiac:Quinnipiac University is a private, coeducational institution located 90 minutes north of New York City and two hours from Boston.   • Adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity and work in compliance with all University, NCAA and MAAC Conference rules and regulations
  • Coach student-athletes during team practices as well as home and away contests
  • Coach student-athletes in specific game strategy, as aligns with expertise
  • Assist Head Coach in preparation for competition through scouting of opponent and other game preparation strategies
  • Assist with recruiting of future student-athletes (on and off campus as assigned), team scheduling, budget administration and team promotion
  • Assist the Head Coach with daily/weekly/seasonal practice planning
  • Work closely with head coach and team support staff to coordinate off the field team needs
  • Assist in the future development of Women’s Lacrosse alumni and community relations
  • Other duties, as assigned
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Experience may substitute for some of the above education requirements
Qualifications:
  • Lacrosse Expertise: Demonstrated exceptional playing and coaching skills in Women's Lacrosse, with a deep understanding of the game's tactics, techniques, and strategies

  • Film Analysis Proficiency: Possess hands-on experience in film breakdown and editing, with a preference for proficiency in industry-standard platforms such as Hudl and Spiideo software. Utilize these tools to analyze game footage, identify patterns, and develop strategic insights to enhance team performance

  • Stakeholder Communication: Exhibit outstanding oral and written communication skills, enabling effective engagement with a diverse range of stakeholders including current and prospective student-athletes, parents, University officials, alumni, and community members. Cultivate strong relationships and foster open dialogue to support the lacrosse program's objectives

  • Microsoft Office Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, to efficiently manage administrative tasks, data analysis, and communication needs within the program. Utilize these tools to streamline operations and enhance organizational efficiency

  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and a commitment to diversity and inclusion
