We’re looking for an assistant marketing manager to join our fragrance global marketing team at philosophy. If you’re passionate about brand storytelling, product development, and are a hands-on type of person that gets things done, we would love to have you on board!

The assistant manager will work closely with a variety of cross functional teams to develop innovative new products and deliver high quality campaigns and 360 degree launch programs.

The assistant manager will be reporting into the senior global marketing manager, fragrance and will work with the team on the development and implementation of a variety of global brand initiatives.

The assistant manager is a well-rounded marketing professional with a background in beauty global marketing and a passion for fragrance.

THE ROLE

In this role you will be responsible for:

IDEATION:

• Research and identify global cultural, color, art, design, fragrance and fashion trends to fuel brand innovation
• Conduct category and competitive assessment and mine consumer insights that will help influence strategic business recommendations
• Write strong concepts that will drive product development, campaign development and messaging.
• Propose need gaps based on analysis of competitive landscape and trends that align with the philosophy brand identity

CREATION:

• Develop product concepts, packaging design and olfactive
• Develop communication strategy, including full 360 toolbox creation (visual merchandising, sampling, GWP, digital content and strategy, social, influencer marketing etc) and go to market strategy
• Brainstorm product names, create global content and write copy for packaging and collateral

EXECUTION:

• Manage day-to-day operations on across all aspects of the brand business and liaise with various internal teams (including product development, trade marketing, local marketing in key countries, digital, PR/IM, finance) as well as external vendors (Creative Agencies, Public Relations agency, various Fragrance Houses)
• Manage all processes to initiate new projects and development of all support elements. (Includes but not limited to gate meetings, product offerings, cost of goods analysis, briefs to cross functional partners, purchase orders)
• Lead model making process with external agencies and manage samples throughout the development process
• Prepare for team/brand meetings. Administrative support on an as needed basis

 QUALIFICATIONS

We’d love to see candidates who have:

Essential:

• 4-year Undergraduate Degree
• 2 to 3 years of Marketing and/or related experience (beauty industry / CPG is required)

Desirable:

• Strong creative sensibilities and strategic thinking
• Passionate about fragrance industry, trends, new product launches and advertising
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Resilient, with a “can-do” attitude
• Ability to self-manage projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel
• Thorough understanding of social media platforms & trends, interest in beauty, fashion, art is a plus

Base Salary Range: $83,000-$90,000 + bonus
