Job Summary
Responsible for assisting the Branch Manager in the overall management of the branch – may step in for Branch Manager in their absence. Individual supports efforts to maximize revenue, sales, customer satisfaction, and minimize operational losses as well as deepening existing relationships and minimizing customer attrition. Contributes to the implementation of promotional campaigns and product initiatives at the branch level. Assists Branch Manager with performance evaluations
Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct all customer account functions, including teller transactions, processing request for new services, providing counseling and cross selling appropriate products or services to benefit the customer and achieve established sales goals, interview customers and process applications for all types of consumer loans. Analyze the financial position of each applicant to determine the level of risk for extending credit . Review all documentation for completeness and accuracy to the organizations compliance guideline organizations compliance guidelines.
- Assist in training, directing and monitoring attendance. Evaluates and participates in performance reviews with guidance of manager. Assists in interviews for open positions and makes recommendations to manager.
- Assist Branch Manager in monitoring all branch activities to insure compliance with established policies and procedures. Work in conjunction with Branch Manager to achieve established objectives and to insure that appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions.
- Support development of account relationships with commercial business customers. Participate in personal calls/visits, assessing needs and offering products/services to meet those needs. Represents the organization as appropriate in its relationships with sponsor and community organizations, suppliers, other financial institutions and similar groups including functions outside normal business hours.
- Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience
- Two to five years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.
Education/ Certifications/ Licenses
- High school degree or GED required
Interpersonal Skills
A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter in the position. In depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors of a sensitive and/ or highly confidential nature is a normal part of the day-to day experience. Communications can involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising other matters of significance.
Minimum Starting Wage: $27.80 hourly (negotiable based on experience)
