This is the job for you. The USC Housing Assignments Coordinator works closely with other professionals in Housing and the University as a whole to administer and manage the housing and residence education program serving over 9,000 on-campus students.

Microsoft Excel Proficiency

Assists with assignment processes to include, but no limited to: new first-year freshman, continuing upperclassmen, transfers, student athletes, international exchange students, bridge programs, Greek housing, and non-degree programs. Advises prospective and current students regarding housing options, resources, and processes. Engages with and represents University Housing during meetings, public events, recruitment events, and conferences.
Utilizing StarRez housing software, executes all housing assignment processes for all semesters to include processing of cancellations, exemptions, and room changes. Knows and understands details about physical and programmatic feature of each residence hall. Manages daily reports and detects errors that arise. Includes being a part of an on-Call duty rotation for emergent relocations and assignments support. Ensures equal access to housing based on application fee deferral process. Processes housing accommodations approved by the Student Disability Resource Center, including approved Emotional Support Animals.
Manages daily reports and detects errors that arise in processing of application data, financial transactions, and space inventory. Troubleshoots problems to determine what corrections should be made to improve and the student experience. Ensures that all campus and departmental partners are made aware of incoming and outgoing students in programs. Conducts monthly meetings with campus partners. Ensures accuracy of data kept in StarRez housing software system.
Answers questions and counsels students and parents by phone, email, and in person on housing options, departmental policies and procedures, and other campus and community information. Assists students with room change process based on requests received. Advises students on withdrawal and re-enrollment processes and ensures all residents are enrolled in courses in compliance with university policy.
Includes but is not limited to efforts that support broad division/institution efforts such as U101 Presentations, Move-In Day, First Night Carolina, Family Weekend, Open Houses, Admitted Student Events.
