Job Purpose: Perform Asset Protection responsibilities for the Store in accordance with company procedures and policies, in order to drive sales and profits.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Manages External Apprehensions
- Observes customers' and contractors' (CCTV and on the floor) activities to detect theft, fraud, or suspicious activity; collects investigative intelligence related to ORC activity and fraud
- Reports infraction of company policy with customers and contractors suspected of theft
- Reports suspected fraud (i.e. credit / check and refund fraud) to AP leadership or Market Investigations as needed
- Creates and manages records using approved Company methods for reports of apprehension, witness statements, retention of evidence and disposition of recovered merchandise
Shrinkage and Safety
- Provides support by aiding store leadership in morning meetings to communicate shrinkage and safety topics to associates
- Provides support by walking the store to identify potential hazards that could result in customer or associate injury
- Conducts incident investigations and complete associates reports
Internal Investigations
- Provides support by taking direction from AP leadership to collect evidence regarding internal investigations
- Acts as an interview witness as needed
- Takes direction from AP leadership to monitor associate activity as needed
Court Hearings
- Attends hearings as required and updates appropriate files with court-related outcomes; maintains relationship with local law enforcement
Performance Standards
- Consistently meets established performance standards for the role, including (but not limited to) product and service sales. customer service, productivity and attendance
