Assembly Technician

Overview

This position will be located at ATI, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of CNH Industrial, in Mount Vernon, Indiana. ATI designs and manufactures track systems used on CNH Industrial equipment.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:

• Apply, align, attach, insert, and fasten various commodities, components, parts, sub-assemblies, or units to chassis in required order and sequence
• Work from Engineering specifications (work instructions), sketches, schematic diagrams, blueprints, process sheets, check sheets, photo books, and verbal instructions
• Perform necessary adjustments as unit progresses down assembly line
• Record defects that require off-line and on-line corrections. Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, excessive continuation of defective parts, improper function, and assembling to proper supervision or management
• Visually check parts and entire assemblies for completeness, function, operation, and appearance
• Assist in the development of assembly practices and procedures
• Move materials as necessary in the performance of duties
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
• Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations
• May perform touch-up or small repair work when assigned
• Perform other duties as required or directed

Qualifications
The qualified candidate will have:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment with at least 3 months in production setting
• Ability to work with computers and software systems
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to perform each essential duty and physical requirements satisfactorily
• Ability to effectively prioritize work tasks and requirements
• Ability be a team player
• Ability to take the initiative to learn & maintain job skills
